Which of These Cricket Flat Irons Is Right for You?
When looking for a hair straightener, one of the first things I look for is a name that I can trust. Cricket is a professional quality brand that has been around for a few years. It has been providing customers with salon quality tools during this time. A Cricket flat iron is engineered to make styling easy, comfortable, and fast. They also offer many different products with cool features, such as friction free coating. A Cricket flat iron is designed so well that many of them last for years without costing an arm and a leg. No wonder so many reviewers said that they would only purchase a Cricket flat iron again.
So, I have decided to put three popular Cricket flat irons to the test. Today we will be talking about the Cricket Friction Free Tourmaline Flat Iron, the Cricket Titanium Tourmaline No. 450 Flat Iron, and the Cricket Straight Crazy Nano Silver Tourmaline Flat Iron. We’re going to get into the good, the bad, and the ugly. Although there isn’t much to say that is negative about any Cricket flat iron, but I had to investigate. Keep reading to learn more, and maybe find your next hair tool.
Cricket Friction Free Tourmaline Flat Iron
With a name like “Friction Free” I had very high expectations for this Cricket flat iron and it delivered. It is important to reduce friction when styling hair. Friction can disturb the cuticle of the hair, which can cause less shine. It also causes your hair to be less sleek and smooth.
First let’s talk about how it works. The plates of the Cricket Friction Free straightener are made of friction free tourmaline. These help to reduce any friction that is created while straightening and styling the hair. The specially designed plates on this Cricket flat iron help to reduce any damage done to the hair and gives a sleeker result.
Another feature that helps to reduce friction and make straightening easier is the distinctive comb design. The hair effortlessly glides through the combs. It also aids in helping the hair go through the friction free plates and giving you a smooth finish.
This Cricket flat iron also features a slim design to help prevent any marks that may occur during styling. It also has multiple heat settings that can go up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. The floating plates reduce unnecessary pressure that may pull or snag at the hair, while the heat penetrates the hair shaft quickly, resulting in less damage and more shine. The rounded edges of the plates on the Cricket Friction Free gives you a sleeker finished result.
This Cricket flat iron comes in a 1 inch model and a mini. I personally think the mini would be great for getting those hard to straighten baby hairs, especially after a gym session. It would fit right in my bag!

This Cricket flat iron uses advanced titanium tourmaline technology to help your hair stay healthier and style faster. Many reviewers say that you only need one pass over your hair to get it straight. That means a lot less stress on your hair!
The beveled edges of the plates on this Cricket flat iron make it easy to go from straightening to curling with one tool. It also helps to reduce frizz and keep your hair smooth. The Titanium Tourmaline No. 450 also has floating plates that help make straightening faster, without catching and pulling your hair.
Some of the other impressive features that this Cricket flat iron includes are variable heat, up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. This straightener also heats up in 30 seconds. Cricket Straight Crazy Nano Silver Tourmaline Flat Iron
This budget friendly Cricket flat iron option will get your hair sleek and straight easily with maximum shine. The tourmaline jewels used give negative ions and infrared heat to the hair. This helps the hair to be frizz free with maximum shine and less damage. The Straight Crazy Nano Silver provides long lasting results of straight and sleek hair.
The Straight Crazy also features Nano silver, which has antibacterial properties and stimulates a clean shine. This Cricket flat iron features five temperature settings which range between 248-425 degrees Fahrenheit. It also heats up quickly, within 90 seconds.
Many reviewers have a lot of loyalty to this Cricket flat iron and continue to repurchase it time after time. All hair types seem to love this tool, even those with thick hair which is usually a sign of a quality iron to me. Some have even stated that they tried a higher priced iron, but it did not compare to their Cricket flat iron.

All of these Cricket flat irons have a lot of pros. For me the one with the most features and best performance is the Cricket Titanium Tourmaline No. 450. The Cricket Friction Free would be a great choice for someone with frizzy or hard to tame hair, as I think the feature of the comb is a cool add-on. On the other hand, I think there are other irons out that perform better and have more features for those with frizzy hair, such as the two that I discuss here. Or if you have curly hair that you are trying to straighten, this review may be more helpful. I still think that the mini version would be a great buy for getting those hard to reach baby hairs.
I think the Cricket Straight Crazy Nano Silver Tourmaline is a great choice if you are on a budget. It may not have a bunch of cool features, but it will get the job done and last you long time. It is an excellent choice for the price! Want more straighteners that won’t break the bank? Take a look at this.
