Online Reviews for Gold N Hot
Gold n Hot was by far the best flat iron I ever tried – for about three months. Then it decided to completely shut down. No matter how long I plugged it in, it simply would not heat up at all. I’m glad it wasn’t very expensive, but I still feel like I wasted money as I expect things I purchase to last for at least a full calendar year. If you want something that only lasts a couple months – go ahead and get this, otherwise, I’d advise steering clear. – Leslie Sanchez, Boston
I read reviews by people saying this was the best flat iron out there, so I got one for myself. Are you kidding me? This is not even a good flat iron, let alone “the best.” My hair isn’t even particularly thick and it didn’t straighten it properly – not to mention having to wait for what seemed like ages compared to my last flat iron for this one to heat up to the right temperature. This was a colossal waste of time, money, and energy. – Meghan Owen, Detroit

I’ve had my Gold n Hot flat iron for about a month now and so far, I’m satisfied with it. It isn’t as good as my last hair straightener, but I did spend far less on it. I have thin hair that is just slightly wavy, so it doesn’t really have to do much work to get it straightened out. Considering some reviews I’ve read, I’m not convinced that this would be the best flat iron for thick hair (or very curly hair for that matter), but if your hair is like mine, this isn’t a bad choice. Plus, the price is hard to beat. – Shelly Logan, Tucson
I have to say that I’m a little disappointed with my Gold n Hot. I read several positive reviews and figured it’d be a good investment – and for the first few months, it was. I found it to be the best flat iron for curly hair that I ever tried, but just last week it stopped working properly. Besides taking forever to heat up to the right temperature, it doesn’t even fully straighten my hair anymore. While it worked, it worked just fine, but considering it only lasted for a few months, I’m rather bummed out and would have rather spent a little more money on something that would last longer. – Melinda Payne, Raleigh
